Fisherman's Cottage
" There are moments on Inis Oirr when you can hear your own heart beating. Take a break from the silence and engage in some foodie chat at this quaint restaurant with rooms. Owners Maria and Enda Conneely are evangelical about slow food, and it shows in their cooking of local seafood and meat dishes (Euro14-20). The cottage is picture postcard pretty, with whitewashed walls and aqua-blue sills. Even the rickety blue furniture in the cosy dining room is adorable. There are four ensuite rooms (Euro 40pps 45 single occupancy) with trusty iron beds, crisp white linen, more whitewash and stunning sea views. Sit in the garden, admire the wild flowers, look out to sea, and feel glad to be alive. Yoga, cookery and language classes are also available."
